Old age pension for weavers

Salient features of the scheme
  1. State sponsored scheme
  2. Monthly pension is Rs. 750/-
Eligibility of beneficiary
  1. Pension must be a weaver and member of PWCS
  2. He must attains 60 years of age and financially in bad condition
  3. He must work at last 10 year in a PWCS
Entitlement of beneficiary
  1. He must be a weaver of any PWCS
  2. His prayer for pension must be recommended by the respective PWCS and approval from respective Gram Sansad and Zilla Parishad
Procedure on which beneficiary gets entitlement

The weaver will apply for pension to PWCS. PWCS submitted to HDO with BOD resolution. HDO will verify the case send to respective Anchal Pradhan for approval of Gram Sansad. Gram Sansad – HDO – Zilla Parishad for approval. After getting approval, HDO send to Director, Govt. of W.B. Directorate of Textiles.

Health Insurance scheme

Salient features of the scheme
  1. The health insurance scheme aims at enabling the weavers community to access the best of health care facility in the country and policy shall be valid for a period of 12 months, ratio is 642.47
  2. The scheme is sponsored by Central, State and also weaver
  3. Total premium 988.30/annum of which central Govt. - Rs. 809.10
    State Govt. - Rs. 129.20

  4. Primary member and the dependents between the age of 1 day up to the age so year covered under the scheme
  5. Family shall consists of maximum of four members, it includes, spouse and two dependent children

Eligibility of beneficiary
  1. The weavers belonging to the State Handloom Co-operation /Apex Primary Handloom Weavers Co-operative Society or Weaver out-side Cooperative / Ancillary worker canals be considered if they organized them selves in to satisfactory groups.
  2. The weavers should be coming at least 50% of his income from Handloom weaving.
Entitlement of beneficiary
  1. He must be a weaver
  2. His earnings should be atleast 50% from Handloom weaving
Procedure on which beneficiary gets entitlement
  1. The weaver will fill up an enrolment form and submit the same to the respective Handloom Development Officer alongwith his/her share of the premium
  2. The application/ enrolment form shall be mode available to the Handloom Development Officer and or the weavers of the ICICI Lombord
  3. HDO will scrutinized the application and if found eligible shall accept the premium amount and procedure on which beneficiary gets entitlement forwarded the list of such beneficiary along with premium amount to the ICICI Lombord
  4. After completion of the above procedure ICICI Lombord shall issue health card to the weaver.

Salient features of the scheme

A pocket having loom age in the range of 300-500 will be consider as a cluster 2. There are several components in the cluster, the minimum limit of the cluster project is Rs. 60lakhs, the components are as follows:

  2. Row material support – max Rs. 3.00
  3. Skill up gradation – max 15% of the total project cost

  1. A base line survey will be conducted at that cluster by the office of the concerned HDO
  2. On the basis of the lease line survey a project will be prepared
  3. The project will be submitted to the DCH for their approval routed through Directorate of Textiles and duly approved by SLPC

The weaver will formed a group and approach to concerned handloom Development Officer, Officer will survey the field and accordingly, a project will be form. The project will be submitted to DCH for their approval routed through Directorate of Textiles and duly approved by SLPC.

Salient features of the scheme

The assistance towards marketing assistance will be eligible to primary weaver’s cooperative society @10% of the average sales turnover of the last three years in the ratio of 50:50

Salient features of the scheme

  3. The lima is for rupees 330/- out of which GOI share 150/- weaver share 80/- and LICI Rs. 100/-

The weaver will submit application in prayer format to HDO along with their subscription, HDO will forwarded the same, atleast 20 applications to the LICI at a time for entry in the scheme
